does hula hooping really shed your belly fat?

im really trying to loose weight for the summer and i bought a hula hoop and im not that sure if it will work and i dont want a really hard plan to loose weight so i bought a hula hoop. im also cutting calories, what else can work that is easy?

yes and no. Hula hooping might work, but it doesnt target fat in a specific spot. No workout can target fat in one spot. Think of your body as a car. Does your car drain one part of the tank until its empty while there is still plenty in other areas? No, and neither does your body. Think of all your body fat as a big tank of gas. When your body demands fuel, it can use calories or fat. You never see people with huge bellies and lean arms and faces, do you? So how would the reverse work: losing fat in one section more than the others. Its simple, your body burns the fat from all over as if its a tank of gas. If you want to shed belly fat, you will have to simply do any cardio workout and eat a bit less.
I hope my example made it clear.
Other exercises i would recommend but havent necessarily tried are:
Swimming- Great whole body workout, can be intense, you dont sweat from it, and easy on the joints. Gets 5/5.
Running – Fast weight loss, may be challenging depending on your weight and condition of cardiovascular system. Probably the most difficult exercise you could do in my opinion.
Walking – Some might laugh at the idea, but walking is great if you are overweight because its easy on the joints. Just go at a challenging pace.
Biking – If you are doing it outdoors, make sure its difficult and try to go fast so you arent just coasting. I would recommend doing it on a trail. Both fun and good exercise, and my favorite.
Jump rope – can be just as exhausting as the others. Think about it, you are jumping, moving your entire body weight straight up.

With all these workout ideas, keep a few things in mind:
Make sure its intense – Hang in there because it gets easier once you get rolling
Drink plenty of water over time – Hydration is key to muscle performance and also will do wonders for your system.
Eat healthily the whole day – If you have ever done weightlifting, you will know the difference that nutrition makes better than anyone else, because i know when i eat junk food and then an hour later go to lift, I do really well for maybe 15 minutes and then feel weak and tired for the rest of the time. In addition to giving you more energy, eating healthy is essential to any weight program
Lastly and most importantly – Make sure that changes you make to your life are permanent. You dont have to eat lentils and just salad and dodge sweets for the rest of your life, but try limit sweets to 1 or 2 times a week, and even then in moderation. This would probably apply more to those who are really overweight, but its something for everyone to keep in mind.

Any type of activity will burn fat. Some burn at a slower rate than others but if you raise your heart rate enough or do it long enough it will burn calories which will eventually get rid of fat if you burn more than you take in. :) It would take a longer time to burn fat that way as appose to say a running or an elliptical for example. A fun way to burn calories is to take your dog (if you have one) for a walk or run. Play a sport, basketball for example is fun and burns quite a bit of calories too. The bottom line is any activity is better than no activity.

Exercise in general will burn fat. Hula hoops are a fun children’s toy, and they actually will work your back, ab, and oblique muscles (kind of like a belly dancer). In the end, only cardio will actually shed the fat, and I would recommend strongly that you do not focus solely on the hula hoop for 30-60 minutes a day 5 times a week. Your back is NOT going to thank you.

One exercise that targets the stubborn stomach area is called The Bicycle.
To do The Bicycle, simply lay on the floor pressing your lower back to the ground. Your hands are beside your head. Bring your knees to an approximate 45-degree angle and slowly go through the motion of pedaling a bicycle. Your left elbow will touch your right knee and then your right elbow will touch your left knee…read more exercise tips here to lose your belly fat:
