I know I shouldn’t be mad…?

Ok so here’s my dilemna (sarcasm). My 21st birthday is coming up and my boyfriend seems like he doesn’t want to do anything. Now his 23rd birthday was a month ago and I went to hell and back planning a romantic picnic and such. Usually for a guy, this wouldn’t surprise me, yet my bf is the "sensitive type" and very romantic. Yet.. he has no plans for my birthday and when I talk to him about it, and telling him what I want to do, he’s unresponsive. Like I told him I wanted to go bar hopping and have certain friends, and he tells me I can do the planning, its my birthday. What the hell?? I jump through hulla hoops for this kid and I get nothing. Am I just being a bitch???

I’m sure that he is going to do something for you but maybe he just wants it to be a surprise. When you least expect it he will wow you, that’s what romantic people do so just give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

i mean look i do crunches and five pound hulla hoops and everything so like please explain an easy way to get hot abs

Check out these 2 sites, I got tired of the usual crunches and sit ups. These 2 sites offer alternatives to the traditional and boring ab shaping workouts. I love Belly dancing. You can shop around for numerous videos, or take a local belly dancing class. It works everything, but does focus a lot on your abs and hips. It’s a total body workout, trust me. It makes you feel very sexy as well. Look at Beyonce and Shakira, their Hips don’t Lie!!!!

i’m 14 and right now i’m about 136lbs. [my weight goes between 134-140ish] i’m 5′5” and about a size 5 in most jeans. and medium in shirts.
my goal is to be a size 1/3 in hollister jeans [right now i'm a 5], and be a size small in teeshirts and hoodies. and get a flat stomach. right now i have a stomach that is really chubby and i absolutley hate it! i also have what is called ‘muffin top’ really bad over my jeans and i want to get rid of that too!

my ‘diet’ is pretty basic..do you think i will be able to get to my goal size? i don’t have a strict diet for myself its basically:
- drink lots of water [avoid pop, sugary juice & carbonated drinks]
- avoid carbs!
- eat really healthy, and smaller portions but eat every 2-3 hours.
- exercise everyday on the tredmill for about 30 minutes & do some stretches.
and try to get outside and do things like play with a soccer ball or jumo rope, hulla hoop, etc.

do you think i will get to my goal size by the beggening of next school year? [september]

btw…PLEASE DO NOT tell me that ‘your size is perfectly fine’..because i know i’m not overweight but i will be ALOT happier with myself and my body if i was my goal size. it would boost my self esteem alot and i would love my body image.

I’ll help you drop a few pounds of fat anyways.

Let’s take a look:
- water(Great!)
- low carb (Not so great. Go easy on carbs, but make sure you eat enough every day. Your body needs carbs to function. Carbs aren’t evil, the people on TV saying they are evil are evil)
- eat really healthy, and smaller portions but eat every 2-3 hours. (Great! That keeps your metabolism up)
- exercise everyday on the tredmill for about 30 minutes & do some stretches. (Good! Try to give yourself at least one day of rest though. Your body needs time to rest and recover)
and try to get outside and do things like play with a soccer ball or jumo rope, hulla hoop, etc. (Good again)

You just need to do a few extra things:

Add strength training. Weight lifting adds muscle and also boosts the metabolism. Try freeweight barbell squats and deadlifts. Make sure you use proper form. As long as you don’t take steroids and train for 4 hours a day, you won’t look like a she hulk.

Make sure you are eating the right ammount. Calculate your BMR. Do a google search. A good calculator would ask for your age, height, weight, and activity level. Eat healthy and eat about 500 calories a day less than your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Your BMR is how many calories you need per day to maintain your current weight.

You should be losing about 1-2lbs per week of pure fat. Good luck!

EDIT: you are going to have to lift more than dinky 5lb dumbbells if you don’t want to waste your time lifting weights. 5lbs doesn’t do anything: it doesn’t build muscle mass, create strength, improve endurance, and it definitely doesn’t "tone".

ok soo my friend is being really agrivation. 1st of all we are both 14 and freshman in high school and she acts like she is 5 years old. we once went shopping together and after going into the stores i wanted to like hollister and american eagle she forces me and our 2 other friends to target so she could get a blue slushie. she then decided to go to the toy section and hulla hoop while holding the slishie and slipped it everywhere. she then ran away and we fallowed and when we passed the place where she spilled it everywhere and she started laughing at the people who where cleaning up her mess. we both also do marching band and she decided to miss a practice to go to the zoo. when i talked to her and was like what the hell you cant miss band to go to the f u c k i n g zoo. and she was like people skip all of the time and im justl ike ya because they are jrs and seniors who have to work and make money. your going to a place that people over the age of 7 should avoid. today she was also being really bitchy. like i was talking to one of my other friends in band who of coarse had to be talking to her. soo they were talking about thier english class and i though they were talking abotu the langage they were taking and i started talking about french and she was like don’t you hate people who start talking in the middle of a conversation who have no idea what is going on. soo i looked at her and was like don’t you hate people who bitc h at their friends for no reason at all and talk about them like they are not even here when they are standing right next to you and then i walked away. sooo my problem is that i can’t ignore her because then i can’t hang out with my friends who are friends with her. and she wouldn’t even have started talking to like 80% of them. i would also see her 3 times a week for 3 hours during marching practice and would be stuck with her for 12 hours when we have marching competitions. she also lives like 3 streets away from my house soo how the hell and i supposed to deal with this???

Ignore her. Or straight up tell her she is being a bitch.

These problems will go away. I know, it’s annoying right now and people are stupid but trust me, high school is a bunch of sh^t. NONE of this matter to you in 6 years. F u c k her and find new friends. You sound more mature than her and any of the other people that hang out with her. Grow up and find new friends. Leave her to her childish games. Good luck.
